The paradise of the Garden Route stretches from Heidelberg in the west to Tsitsikamma forest in the east. It is a necklace of cliffs, bays, beaches and towns strung along a beautiful coastline. Inland, the lush coastal vegetation gives way to the arid beauty of Klein Karoo, home to South African Ostrich industry and the famous Cango caves. Route 62 from Oudtshoorn to Cape Town through the mountains, vineyards and fruit farms of the Breede River Valley and Klein Karoo, is an attractive alternative to Garden Route.

South African Winelands & Stellenbosch is amongst the best, when it comes to wine! No visit to the Cape would be complete without a trip to the Winelands. Towering mountains, stately oaks, fertile vineyards and whitewashed Cape Dutch architectures is the distinctive feature of the beautiful Winelands region. Route 62 linking the Winelands, Breede River Valley and Klein Karoo, is reputed to be the world's longest wine route.

  Is the second oldest and the best-preserved towns in South Africa, known as the 'Eikestad' - town of oaks.
• Paarl
  It is known as the 'Pearl' of the cape and lies at the heart of the extensive wine route.

  It is the largest of the Cape's three fruit and wine producing valleys, stunningly beautiful in the autumn.

The Mother City of South Africa, as it is commonly known by common consent, is one of the world's most beautiful cities. Set against the magnificent backdrop of Table Mountain that dominates the skyline, it is South Africa's most visited city, blessed with a spectacular coastline and a Mediterranean-type climate. The "Tavern of the Seas" has a variety of attractions to fascinate every visitor. Set between two oceans, the city is an amalgam of European, Eastern (Malay) and African cultures, whose influence may be seen in the architecture, lifestyle, music, food and wine, customs and way of life of Capetonians.

• Table Mountain
  You can enjoy the stunning views of the city, its seaboard and nearby Lion's Head, from a deck that hangs over the mountain edge, via a cableway. A walk up the mountain from Kirstenbosch or Constantia can be enjoyed if you have time, with an eye on the weather, always.
• V&A Waterfront

• Robben Island
  A trip to the island, formerly the prison of 'Madiba' - Nelson Mandela and other black dissidents is a somber, sobering but an unforgettable experience.
• Groot Constantia
  It is the oldest and most beautiful wine estates, where winemaking in South Africa began.
• The Company Gardens
  Houses the Parliament, the Tuynhuis, office of South Africa's President and other splendid Cape Dutch buildings on the way.
• The Castle of Good Hope
  It is a five-pointed fortress, still a military headquarters but also housing a museum, gallery and restaurant. It is the oldest continuously occupied building in South Africa.

Mpumalanga means 'place of the rising sun". This part of South Africa is crammed with God-made miracles. It is worth visiting because you enjoy huge rewards for almost no effort. Most visitors to Mpumalanga spend a day or more in the Kruger National Park, one of the world's biggest and finest game reserves. Nelspruit, the provincial capital, is an important stop en route to the park and the many private game reserves on its fringes.

• The southern Kruger Park
  It covers one-fifth of the park. The Area between Satara and the Crocodile Bridge is the most scenic and best for game viewing. Three of five biggest camps, including Skukuza, are found here.
• The Panorama Route
  It is a 70 km circular drive taking in some wonderful views including the Blyde River Canyon, Pilgrim's Rest, the Pinnacle, God's Window, Berlin Falls, Lisbon falls and Burke's Luck Potholes.
• The Blyde River Canyon Nature Reserve
  27000 ha of grass and bushveld, running for 57 km along the Drakensberg escarpment and offering magnificent views of the third largest green canyon in the world, and among the most beautiful.
• Pilgrims Rest
  This is a beautifully restored, gold mining village, now a national monument.
• Wakkerstroom
  Surrounded by wetlands, this place is a haven for bird lovers and wild flower enthusiasts.

Once a dusty mining town, Johannesburg is now the country's largest city and the commercial, financial and transport hub of the sub-continent. It is a big, brash, in your face city - a kaleidoscope of African sights, smells, colors, cultures and habitats - with plenty to see and do around the city, including game drives less than an hour's drive away.

The Pilanesburg National Park
The Pilanesberg National Park is one of South Africa's foremost conservation showpieces. It is completely enclosed by a most unusual geological formation, a complete circle of volcanic hills, and is the third largest reserve in South Africa. The Park is just an hour and a half's drive from Johannesburg & the most accessible "Big 5" game reserves. The reserve has 6000 animals representing 19 species, and there is also an incredible array of bird life in the reserve.
