Ancestral home of the Zulu nation, Zululand offers tourists a variety of spectacular terrains - from sparse bushveld and grassy plains teeming with game to sugar plantations and wetland swamps.   It is the largest protected wetlands and annual breeding ground of the Leatherback Turtle in South Africa.

Overberg literally means 'over the mountain', is Africa's most southerly region. It extends from mountain foothills through verdant wheatfields and vineyards to the Indian ocean coastline. Cape Agulhas is where the Indian and Atlantic oceans meet. The waters off the overberg coast have become a popular breeding ground for whales.

  Every year from July to Novemeber, Southern Right Whales come into the waters around Hermanus. This brings thousands of out of season visitors to some of the world's best land based whale viewing.
• Swellendam
  It is the most charming of towns at the foot of Langeberg range of mountains. The Bontebok national park and Breede River are nearby attractions.

• Langeberg Lagoon & West Coast National Park
  One of the country's largest wetlands and a paradise for bird lovers, hikers and wild flower enthusiasts.

  In the months of August-September annual wild flower shows are held at Clanwilliam, Hopefield and Darling.

It stretches from Port St. Johns in the north to Kei Mouth in the south. This stretch of coast offers some of the best angling, hiking, and diving and of course the magnificent casinos.

  A striking rock formation, 8 kms from Coffee Bay.

  In Umtata recounts the life of the world icon. Mandela's birthplace, Qunu, is nearby.

  A casino, golfing and beach resort on the border with Kwa-Zulu-Natal.

Situated in KwaZulu-Natal, between the Free State and Mpumalanga borders lies the area known as battlefields. Some of the most important battles in South African history were fought here; Zulu vs Boer, Zulu vs the British and Boer vs British. One of the most terrible battles of this region was the Battle of Blood River where the river ran red with the blood of the Zulus.

This place is studded with hills, dams and trout streams.
